If I Couldn’t Afford a Coach, Here Are the 3 Things I’d Start Doing Today

If I suddenly lost access to every app, supplement, fancy fitness tracker, and coaching tool tomorrow, but still needed to change my health and get results, there are 3 things I would start doing immediately.

And honestly? None of them are sexy or going viral.

That’s probably the biggest problem in the fitness industry right now. Women are drowning in information while completely ignoring the basics that actually matter.

Everyone is looking for the perfect plan, the perfect macro split, the perfect hormone hack, the perfect fat-burning supplement…

Meanwhile, they’re sleeping five hours a night, eating low protein, barely moving, and wondering why they feel terrible.

No B.S. Here’s where I would start.

First: Strength Training.

Not endless cardio. Not random online workouts. Not trying to burn yourself into a smaller body.

Strength Training.

Because after 40, muscle matters. A lot.

Muscle supports your metabolism, energy, bone health, recovery, confidence, longevity, and your ability to actually move through life without feeling depleted all the time.

And no, this doesn’t mean you need to become a bodybuilder.

It means your body needs resistance and progression instead of random movement whenever you “feel motivated.”

Second: Walking.

Not punishment cardio. Not trying to hit some magical calorie burn number on your watch.

Just walking consistently.

One of the most underrated things women can do for their health is walk more. Especially after meals.

Walking supports blood sugar regulation, digestion, stress management, cardiovascular health, energy, recovery, and overall longevity.

And unlike most fitness trends, it’s free.

Third: Protein.

Not protein popcorn, protein cereal, protein candy, protein water… because apparently we’re doing that now.

Actual protein.

Eggs. Chicken. Beef. Fish. Greek yogurt. Cottage cheese.

Most women don’t need more nutrition rules, they need more consistency around the fundamentals.

One client told me she spent years trying to optimize tiny things, while completely ignoring the obvious stuff.

Exactly… because we love to overcomplicate things.

And because truthfully the fitness industry profits from our confusion.

Simple does not sell very well. But simple works.

You don’t need to overhaul your entire life overnight. You need to stop skipping the basics while chasing things that barely matter.

Small Shifts = BIG Wins.

That’s how real progress actually happens.
