You Cannot “Find” Time for Fitness. You Have to Make It.

One of the most common things I hear from women is: “I just need life to calm down first.”

And I get it.

You’re working. Taking care of kids. Managing a household. Trying to remember school forms, appointments, groceries, sports schedules, birthdays, laundry, dinner, and approximately 47 other things at all times.

By the time evening rolls around, sitting on the couch scrolling your phone feels like the only break you’ve had all day.

But here’s the hard truth: Life is not magically calming down anytime soon.

Summer will be busy.
September will be busy.
Christmas will be busy.
Work will stay busy.
Your family will always need things from you.

If you keep waiting for the perfect season to prioritize yourself, you’re going to spend years stuck in the same cycle of “starting over.”

One client said something that honestly stopped me in my tracks:
“I was spending all my energy taking care of them, and completely disappearing from me.”

I have a feeling some of you felt that deep in your chest, like I did.

Most of the time, this isn’t really about time management. It’s about believing your needs come last.

And listen, I’m not saying you suddenly need to spend two hours a day meal prepping and working out. But some of us do need to stop pretending we have zero time while spending 90 minutes scrolling social media every night.

Sorry if that stung a little. But it’s true.

You’re not going to wake up one day with extra time.

You are going to decide your health matters enough to make some.

And no, that doesn’t mean everything needs to be perfect.

A twenty-minute workout still counts.
A walk after dinner still counts.
Preparing protein ahead of time still counts.
Going to bed earlier instead of watching three more episodes still counts.

Small Shifts = BIG Wins.

That’s how consistency actually gets built. Not through giant overhauls and dramatic restarts. Through small decisions repeated over and over until they become part of who you are.

Because strong women don’t wait for perfect timing to take care of themselves.

That shift changes everything.
