At SV Photograph, we have the honor of accompanying women and men on a transformative journey: an artistic nude or boudoir photo session immersed in the wild beauty of Southern Alberta and the Canadian Rockies.
Our clients, typically aged 35 to 55+, reach out to us for profoundly personal reasons. Some are navigating recovery after illness, loss, or divorce. Others are simply ready for change, eager to celebrate their bodies, or longing to reclaim their own reflection.
What strikes us most is how many book their experience six months to a full year in advance. That time isn’t just a waiting period: it’s a gift. A space to prepare, both mentally and physically, so they can show up fully on the day.
That’s precisely why we sat down with Kaylee Bennett, a coach who specializes in guiding people through exactly this kind of preparation. She helps turn the months leading up to a session into a powerful inner journey, one that deepens the experience long before the camera comes out.
Meeting Kaylee in person in Calgary was a true highlight for us. We sat down together, and what was meant to be a quick coffee turned into a rich, heartfelt conversation about coaching, body image, resilience, and the beautiful work she does every day. But not just that, we spoke about everything! And I think we stayed there for almost two hours, time was just flying!
In this conversation, we explore:
- How to uncover your deeper intention before stepping in front of the lens
- How simple, powerful exercises will quiet self-doubt and build confidence
- Ways to prepare your body and mind for the elements (cold, wind, a mountain hike)
- How to carry the transformation forward, so the session becomes a lasting shift, not just a memory
Whether you’re considering an artistic nude shoot, a boudoir session, or simply curious about what it means to reconnect with yourself, this conversation offers insight, inspiration, and practical tools.
We’re honored to share our dialogue with the inspiring Kaylee Bennett.
